men, do something about it
Tons of Rock continues its collaboration with the Norwegian Cancer Society – “Men, do something about it!”
Tons of Rock is more than music, pyro, and festival energy, we also want to use our platform for something that matters. That’s why we are proud to continue our long-standing collaboration with the Norwegian Cancer Society, a partnership that has been important to us for several years. Cancer affects all of us, and in the spirit of rock this is about community, action, and taking care of one another.
This year, the Norwegian Cancer Society is putting focus on men’s health through the campaign “Men, do something about it!”. Men are at a higher risk than women of getting cancer, and of dying from it, and far too many wait too long before seeking medical help. To amplify the message, Kristopher Schau has recorded a special episode of his podcast Rekommandert, where he is joined by the Norwegian Cancer Society’s Deputy Secretary General, Ole Alexander Opdalshei. Together, they discuss why men are less likely to see a doctor, and what we can do to change that.
At Tons of Rock, you can meet the Norwegian Cancer Society on-site. Stop by, have a conversation, get information, and most importantly: do something about it. We stand together for more than just the music.
