#SAFEFESTIVAL

Tons of Love – Community, Safety and Passion

Tons of Rock is more than a festival – it is a community built on a love of music, togetherness and safety. Tons of Love permeates everything we do to create an inclusive and safe arena where audiences, artists and volunteers come together.

We stand together in both applause and challenges, building bridges between artists and fans and creating memories for life. The Tons of Rock community is the force that inspires, engages and grows – driven by a love of rock and all it represents.

Tons of Rock wants to be a safe festival for all our guests, artists, volunteers and partners. Take care of each other, use common sense and help make the festival safe for everyone, regardless of age and gender ❤️

Through the use of the hashtag #safestival, Tons Of Rock encourages people to focus on measures to create safe festivals for everyone, regardless of age and gender.

CONCERT ETIQUETTE

  1. Choose your experience

Right in front of the stage can get intense, crowded, and chaotic.
Further back gives you more space, better airflow, and a better overview.
At Tons of Rock, the choice is yours.

  1. Take care of yourself – all day long

Four days. Long hours.
Drink water. Eat food. Take breaks.

  1. If someone goes down – help them up

That’s how we do it at Tons of Rock.
We look after each other.

  1. Respect goes both ways

Not everyone wants to be lifted up.
Read the room.

Did you know most injuries at Tons of Rock happen to the security guards catching crowd surfers?

  1. If it feels wrong – move out

Move diagonally backwards, or head sideways first and then back.

  1. Don’t push

Don’t force people forward.
It ruins the experience for others and creates unnecessary situations.

  1. You’re not standing there alone

Look around you.
Everyone is there for the same reason:
to enjoy the experience.

  1. Play it smart

If you spend the whole day in the front row, you’ll be out of energy before the headline show.

  1. This is how we do it at Tons

We take care of ourselves.
We take care of each other.

  1. Speak up

In the Tons of Rock app, you can easily report anything you experience or see that crosses the line.

There is a strict obligation to provide identification at all catering establishments that sell alcoholic beverages. You may therefore be asked to show identification at several places during the festival.

Yes, and these are the valid forms of identification:

  • Passport

  • Bank card showing your name, photo, and date of birth

  • National ID card

  • Physical driver's licence (digital driver's licences are not accepted)

The reason we do not accept a digital driver's licence as identification is that we do not have an electronic verification system in place to verify the validity of the licence.

Identification is primarily checked to confirm that guests are at least 18 years old (or 20 years old for VIP access). If there is any doubt about a guest’s age, they may be asked to present valid identification. If you are unable to provide valid ID when requested, you will be issued an U18/U20 wristband.

If you are collecting your wristband at the accreditation booth, you must present valid identification regardless.

If it is discovered that identification is being used incorrectly, or is fake, the police will be called upon. Improper use of identification or presentation of false identification will be reported.

Our security personnel are instructed to be observant towards heavily intoxicated persons. The warden has, in cooperation with the police, official authority to demand identification and, if necessary, expel from the festival area.

Young people who are seen consuming alcohol, and who are believed to be under 18, will be required to provide identification. Young people who are seen drinking alcohol, and who are obviously/verifiably under 18, will be deprived of the alcoholic beverage, expelled from the festival area and their wristband will be cut.

People over the age of 18 who are seen buying alcohol for someone under the age of 18 will be reported to the police.

Visibly intoxicated adults with responsibility for children under the age of 18 will, together with the minor, be escorted from the scene, and a report will be made to the police.
